Sunday, June 19: Rock Birthdays

Happy Birthday today (June 19) to lead singer Ann Wilson of Heart. She's 66. Other rockers celebrating include former AC/DC and Dio drummer Simon Wright (53) and Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch (46).

Heart formed out of Seattle, Washington and rose to fame in the mid 70's with hit albums and singles. They went through a few lineup changes over throughout their career, with sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson being the constant center of the group. Ann Wilson is regarded as one of the best female vocalists in rock history. The band has sold over 35 million records worldwide and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

Heart's last studio album was 2012's Fanatic. A new album is due out this year. The band is on tour all summer on the Rock Hall Three For All tour with Cheap Trick and Joan Jett. The tour plays SPAC on Sept. 8
