Skidmore College is preparing to host hundreds of people this weekend for a fundraiser for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  According to Saratogian News, Skidmore College is hosting its first 'Out of the Darkness Walk' this Sunday for help raise funds.  While the walk itself is free, donations are accepted for the Capital Region of New York Chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, which in turn helps to fun support groups, suicide prevention training, and more.  The event starts at 1:30 this Sunday, and you can get more information at the Saratogian News.

If you've read my blogs before, you know that I'm a huge proponent for mental health awareness and suicide prevention.  It's always great to see the local community participating in these events, and bringing awareness to something so tragic.
