A hit and run is never a good thing to be mixed up in and a New York State Trooper is learning that the hard way.

In Fulton County a State Trooper has landed in some trouble after turning himself in for running over a Northville man and then leaving the scene.  You would think that as some one who is suppose to uphold the law he would of known better, but apparently not.

The Trooper, Brian Beardsley, hit 29 year old Chad Finch and autopsy revealed that he died instantly.  From what I have been following on the story, Beardsley's lawyer is pushing for the fact that Finch may have been dead already when he was hit, but right now they are saying it looks like no other cars were involved.

This is pretty rough too.  Beardsley has been released on $1,000 bail and has been suspended without pay.  Beardsley has pleaded not guilty, but if convicted he could face up to 7 years in prison.  For more on the story visit YNN.com.
