Sparklers Legal In Saratoga County

Sparklers were illegal? News to me.

“Sparkling Devices” are defined under the law as hand-held devices that produce a shower of white, gold or colored sparks and may include cracking or whistling effects and smoke. Hand-held and ground-based devices that produce only smoke are also included.

The Saratogian is reporting that Saratoga County is now the second county in the state to take Cuomo up on letting each county decide whether or not to sell "fountain" fireworks.

You'll be able to purchase them from June 1-July 5, and from Dec. 26 until Jan. 2. I'm assuming these particular sparklers have some sort of device to make them not work outside of those dates as well, otherwise, why wouldn't you just stock up and use them all year round?
