Sonic to Open New Albany Location

Eat more ... tots.

It appears as though the Capital Region is due to get another new fast food joint after all. Albeit, not the chicken joint that seems to get the Capital Region all riled up every time there is even a whisper of it coming to town.

Sonic Drive-In currently has a couple of locations in the Capital Region (one in Latham and one in Troy) but News 10 is reporting that we are about to get our 3rd location! If all goes according to plan a Sonic Drive-In is set to open at the former Howard Johnson's location at 351 Southern Boulevard in Albany sometime in the Spring.

While it may be awhile until you can get some chicken mini's outside of the Albany airport at least you will have another option to grab a tasty limeaid and tots in the Capital Region.
