Looks like bacon, tastes like bacon, isn't bacon.

Bacon is the greatest invention of all times. I don't know how humanity managed before it. I don't even want to think of a time before bacon. Bacon is so great, it occurs naturally in plants.

Oregon State University was trying to make a super food for abalone, which when googled, seem to be some form of shell fish, maybe molluscs, if that even is a real word. The super food is a succulent red marine algae called dulse, and succulent it is. As it turns out, if you fry up dulse, it looks and tastes just like bacon, but it's a plant.

Okay, so at least we've identified what has to be the single most unhealthy plant in existence, right? No, this stuff is actually twice as good for you as kale, reports OregonState.edu.
