Scientists Say The Moon Sunk The Titanic?
Science is sometimes amazing, and sometimes it's just a little ridiculous. There is a new theory floating around about the sinking of the Titanic, and scientists are blaming the moon?
Any of us who went to school, or saw the James Cameron blockbuster know that the RMS Titanic met it's demise because it smashed into an iceberg in the North Atlantic. Scientists couldn't seem to leave this alone and have come up with a new theory. The moon did it. Okay, it's not that simple, but it still seems pretty stupid.
According to Yahoo News, they are blaming the moon because it apparently lined up with the sun and their gravitational force increased the tide, or something like that. Either way, the ship slammed into an iceberg almost 100 years ago. I think that's a pretty clear cause, despite the moons involvement.
Instead of wasting money researching things like this, how about science does something productive? We could really use a cure for cancer, and it would be cool to find out if we aren't alone in the universe. No, lets instead research how the Titanic sunk.
