Rotterdam Aquarium Announces Opening Date

You will soon be able to walk with thousands of fishies swimming over your head!

A 25,000 square foot aquarium is finally set to open at the old Rotterdam Square Mall! The mall announced that on Saturday, November 12th at 1pm will be the Grand Opening of The aquarium at Viaport Rotterdam.

According to the Times Union the goal was to originally open in back in June however, it turns out that time frame was a bit unrealistic for the work that needed to be done.  When all is said and done it loos like the new aquarium will provide some pretty cool "underwater" experiences because it includes:

freshwater and saltwater fish, and it will have tanks that enable customers to walk through a pair of tunnels as fish swim on three sides of them

In all it will take 75,000 gallons of water to fill the 37 exhibits that will house 250 different species of about 2,500 fish and sea life!
