Q103 Celebrates Chris Cornell on What Would Have Been His 53rd Birthday

Sending many happy birthday wishes to that amazing rock show in the sky today...

You know, it's still pretty hard to believe that one of the most influential voices of a generation is gone. It has a been a little over two months since Chris Cornell took his own life at his hotel room in Detroit after a Soundgarden show. I have got be honest, no matter how many reports, articles, and tributes I read and see it still doesn't feel like this is our new reality.

Today would have been Chris Cornell's 53rd birthday, and while I'm sure he's celebrating by jamming out at that amazing festival in the sky, Q103 has decided to celebrate Chris here in the Capital Region by keeping his amazing music alive.

Keep it locked on the Q throughout the day today as we celebrate with all the amazing music Chris has gifted the world. We'll be playing double shots of tunes from his bands like Soundgarden and Audioslave, some of his solo tunes, covers, and collaborations.
