Q-Ruption 2012 Battle Of The Bands Update

The Q103 Q-Ruption is the Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival and it pulls into the Saratoga Performing Arts Center on September 1st.  Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, Adelita's Way and many others will be performing on 3 stages.  There will also be a unsigned local band that will also play the Q-Ruption stage.  Currently there are more than 15 bands from the Capital Region have entered this bad ass contest, find out who they are and where they stand. 

Bands must create a profile on the Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival webpage, upload songs and get their fans to vote for them.    A band from the Capital Region will play the Q-Ruption stage on September 1st at SPAC.   Four bands will be selected to perform at a final Battle of the Bands event on August 24th hosted by the Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show at a TDB location.  Make sure if your band has entered or plans to enter, to keep August 24th available.

According to the Rockstar UPROAR website:

Votes are a very important ingredient, however bands do not win a slot on the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival by getting the most votes in each city. Bands are eligible to win the slots if they are on of the top 100 vote getting bands for city they have selected to compete in. The top 100 vote getting bands in each city will be reviewed by our panel of judges. Which features a collection of some of music’s most well respected individuals. They will select four bands per city based on musicianship, originality, ability to draw, songwriting, and vocal ability. This year’s judges for the Ernie Ball Battle Of The Bands powered by Imagen Records include: Jose Mangin from Sirius XM, Zacky Vengeance, guitarist of Avenged Sevenfold, legendary producer/mixer Jay Baumgardner, and music industry veteran Bill McGathy.

As it stands right now - The leading vote getter for Albany is The 7th Squeeze. To keep them there keep voting.

There's still plenty of time to submit you band! Your band could end up like last year's winners Mindset Evolution who are on all of UPROAR this year.

Voting will end on August 17th with the final Battle of The Bands event taking place on August 24th.   The winner of the Q-Ruption battle of the band not only will play Q-Ruption on September 1st but then be entered into the national contest to play UPROAR in 2013.
