After a win-less Saturday drawing, the Powerball jackpot rose to $400 million on Sunday and could get even bigger.

The next drawing is Wednesday, February 19 and could be even higher by that point. Currently the lump-sum payout to a single winner would be $227.8 million.

So far, there have been no Powerball jackpot winners in 2014, the last was Christmas Day 2013. The last $400 million plus jackpot won was in August that was split three ways. The highest jackpot of all-time was $590.5 million, before taxes, by a single Florida woman in May 2013.

Remember, tickets for to play Powerball are now $2.00 instead of the original $1.00. This changed almost 2 years ago and has since caused the jackpots to rise quicker than before. With that said, most jackpots average around $255 million.

If you are planning on getting tickets for Wednesday's drawing, they must be purchased by 7 PM (EST). The Powerball drawings are held Wednesday & Sunday.
