Today is the wrong day to be travelling with suspicious things in your luggage. Seriously, delay that flight one more day.

Early this morning at the Albany International Airport, the TSA Bomb Appraisal Officer came across what looked like an Improvised Explosive Device in a passengers luggage. It was deemed not an immediate threat and the passengers were questioned.

Turns out the passenger in question and his two travelling companions are active Navy personnel coming in to do some training up at the Knolls Atomic Facility in Ballston Spa. Their commanding officer was contacted, and after there bags were re-screened and checked by dogs, the three passengers were released without any charges.

This didn't effect any air travel or regular business at the Albany International Airport, but seriously, The Navy, maybe call ahead and give some warning next time?
