Stabbing in Schenectady: Police Investigation Underway
Louis Smith of Albany was stabbed multiple times in the arm and torso, according to Schenectady police. Police are now looking for the suspect.
The stabbing took place around 4:30 a.m. today in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood. According to the Schenectady police, Smith said he approached a woman who he believed to be someone he knew. When Smith realized she wasn't the person he was looking for, the two began to argue.
While side-tracked by the argument, a third person walked up and stabbed Smith. Smith then fled to 585 Brandywine Ave. where he flagged down a motorist to seek aid. The third person is now being considered a suspect, according to police.
