What would you do with an extra 241 grand in your pocket?  Poker player Pat Walsh now has to ask himself that after winning the Big Event Bounty Shootout early this AM.  Scoping out the latest poker news, ol' Monte has the run down of the felt for your Sunday.

It looks like Walsh had some tough competition earlier today as the WSOP Main Event champ, Johnathan Duhamel and  WTP winner Victor Ramdin both finished in the top nine.

Ramdin has been on fire as of late. Just a few days earlier, Ramdin won $500,000 in the Big Event at the Bicycle Casino Los Angeles after beating Joe Hachem, the 05 WSOP Main Event champ.

In other big tournament news,  Erik Seidel was recently crowned the 2011 NBC National Heads Up Champion. The eight time WSOP bracelet winner took home $750,000 while besting a STACKED field.  Duhamel showed up again in a big way making it to the final four along with 03 WSOP Main Event champ, Chris Moneymaker, and Andrew Robl.  Moneymaker has been quiet since is big win in 03 that started the "poker boom"  but he had a decent tourny to make it to the finals after beating the legend himself, Doyle Brunson as well as Duhamel on the way to the final match vs. Seidel. Seidel didn't have smooth ride to the championship himself while facing the likes of five time WSOP bracelet winner Allen Cunningham as well as bracelet winners Jennifer Harmen and Vanessa Selbst. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-news/10879-erik-seidel-wins-2011-nbc-national-heads-up-poker-championship Talk about a tough road to a title!
