We are heading into the championships of both the NBA and NHL seasons and while some teams are finding success, others are struggling at the tail end.

I love playoff time in professional sports. It's where you get to see the real talent come out.  The Chicago Bulls are one of the most talented teams in the NBA, but they have been having some trouble during the playoffs.  They had the best record in the league at the end of the season, but we all know that it's how you perform in the post season that matters the most.

I really thought Chicago was a shoe in for the NBA finals, but now I am not so sure.  Unless they have another gear to kick it into, they are done this season.  Miami beat them again last night 101-93.  The Heat now have a 3-1 series lead over the Bulls, something that is very hard to bounce back from.  The league MVP Derrick Rose has not been the same player from the regular season.  He even takes the blame for last nights loss.  Rose is their go to guy and he missed two big shots in regulation, shots that would of won the game for Chicago and possibly could have swung momentum in the Bulls favor.

I certainly hope that the Miami Heat don't win a championship.  It would make me absolutely sick.  Not that certain guys on that team don't deserve a ring, but Chris Bosh and Lebron James are just totally greasy and it would sicken me if they got a ring after all the crap they pulled going to Miami.  Unfortunately things are very much in their favor to at least get to the NBA finals, so I hope that Dallas (yes Dallas is moving on) can stop them.

In the NHL we have the first team to move onto the Stanley Cup Finals in the Vancouver Canucks.  The Canucks beat the San Jose Sharks in dramatic fashion after 2 OT's they won 3-2.  The best part about this was that they got to do it front of the home crowd.

Vancouver was heavily favored to get to this point and it will be their first trip to the Stanley Cup Finals since 1994.  They are just waiting for the outcome of the series between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lighting which could wrap up tonight.  Boston leads the series 3-2.  If it comes down to the Bruins and the Canucks, I think my pick would go to Boston.  I like the way they are playing right now and it would be nice for Tim Thomas to win a Cup since he is near the end of his career.
