Bad news for Papa Roach fans - Jacoby Shaddix has been diagnosed with with a vocal chord issue and will have to undergo surgery to remove the nodule and prevent future damage. There is however a silver lining for fans who will be attending the show - longer set times for the other bands.

Jacoby was quoted in the official press release:

“It’s no secret that I’ve been having issues with my voice lately. I was hoping to be able to go out there and kill it on this tour by resting and doing vocal exercises, but my voice has just gone out on me. I hate to let our fans down, but unfortunately surgery is the only way to fix it,” Shaddix said. “The last thing we want to do is give our fans less than 100% every night. We know they’ll understand and we’ll be back better than ever.”

We love Papa Roach and hate to not see them at Q-Ruption but we wish Jacoby a speedy recovery. Q-Ruption will still be awesome and the tour is responding by having the main stage schedule  adjusted to allow longer performances from Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind and Adelitas Way
