Formed in 1993 in Vacaville, California Papa Roach has become known for their hard rock, heavy metal, and rap rock sound. Led by front man Jacoby Shaddix the lineup also contains lead guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance, and drummer Tony Palermo.
In 1994 they released their first EP, and for the next six years they played as many gigs as they could get, over the next five years they continued to record independent releases until finally in 2000 they achieved mainstream success. After being signed by DreamWorks Records they began to produce their first album and on April 25th they released Infest which sold over 30000 copies the first week. After this they joined the Warped Tour among others, performing with artists like Limp Bizkit, Eminem, Xzibit, and Ludacris.
They currently have seven studio albums and have been nominated for two Grammys, and an MTV Video Music award. Papa Roach has sold over ten million records.
