It's usually a festival that brings a bunch of musicians together, but the hard rock and metal community represented well while saluting one of their own at the Anesthesia: The Art of Oblivion art show in Hollywood this past Friday (Feb. 24). The show featured 36 pieces in total, with 12 contributed by acclaimed musician Billy Morrison (Royal Machines, The Cult, Billy Idol, Circus Diablo and Doheny), 12 contributed by artist Plastic Jesus and an additional 12 pieces that were Morrison and Plastic Jesus artistic collaborations.

Taking place at Gibson Brands Sunset (aka the former Tower Records building on Sunset), a who's who of rock and metal turned up to see the works. Ozzy Osbourne was joined by his kids Jack and Kelly Osbourne at the event, later seen chatting with artist Shepard Fairey as well as getting a few words in with Billy Idol. Ozzy previously worked with Morrison on the guitarist's album, contributing to the track "Gods" on his God Shaped Hole disc. Osbourne was reported to have been working with Morrison and Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens on new solo music last year.

Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst was on hand, getting a chance to hang with fellow rocker-turned-director Rob Zombie during the art show. Durst and Morrison previously worked together on a pair of mixed media paintings. You could also spot Prophets of Rage drummer Brad Wilk, actress/singer Juliette Lewis, Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd, Morrison's musical cohorts Billy Duffy of the Cult and Steve Stevens of Billy Idol's band, '80s new wave favorite Gary Numan and fellow musicians Loren Gold (The Who), Carmine Rojas (Joe Bonamassa), Ralph Rieckermann (Scorpions) and Katja Rieckermann (Rod Stewart) viewing the artwork as well.

Outside the event, Aston Martin had several guitars on display and the Gibson tour bus had pulled into the venue lot. The gallery was also open the following day and Morrison and Plastic Jesus were there greeting fans. The artists had a merch table for t-shirts and limited number of prints for those interested.
