Opening Day At Track In Saratoga

It's opening day at the Saratoga Racecourse, which means it's time to break out the ridiculous hats and get ready to bet on those ponies!

It's almost in our DNA to move towards Saratoga this time of the year.  The oldest racecourse in the country gets set to open for the season today, and NYRA is hoping for a good turn out.

Now personally I know nothing about betting on horses, so if you have any tricks or tips I would appreciate them greatly as I;m going at this blind. I love the atmosphere of the place, I just don't know how to win any money while I'm there.  I'm more or less just going to watch and enjoy a beverage.

If you're heading to the track today or the next couple of days it is going to be hot and humid.  I even heard rumors that they may need to postpone due to the excessive heat, but it doesn't look like they are going to hold anything up.

Don't forget that coming up on Sunday it's the infamous hat contest, so get out your best one and hope for the best.
