The Douglasville, Georgia Christian Metal quintet Norma Jean are finally headed out on tour for the spring and summer! They're my third favorite band and I've only seen them once, a few years ago in Massachusetts. They haven't been to the Capital District in forever. Are they hitting the area on the upcoming tour?

The tour, to be named Explosions II Part Deux Tour, takes off in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 6. They will be joining the stage with four other bands- After the Burial, Motionless in White, For the Fallen and Stray From the Path.

Norma Jean's current Explosions II tour wraps up tomorrow. They released the following statement via Noisecreep:

We just basically just wanted to hit all the cities that Explosions II didn't," vocalist Cory Brandan recently told Noisecreep. We got some rad bands on this bill, and we're ready to get right back out there.

Perhaps it was bassist Jake Schultz who summed it best: This tour is better than pizza.

Norma Jean's latest album, 'Meridional', came out last year. It's an amazing work of musical art and I am so beyond excited to see my boys on tour! Are you as excited as I am?!
