Motorist who lost their license for drunk driving but get a conditional license could lose even more if they are caught again.

Gov. Cuomo signed the new law in to effect that would make it a felony to be caught drunk driving on a conditional license. A conditional license allows a person the ability to drive to "essential" places such as work, school, or medical appointments. Some motorist are issued this after a drunk driving offense.

The new law would make it a felony to caught drunk driving on a conditional license, which was previously a traffic violation. It is already a felony in the state to drive drunk on a revoked license.

Will this work to keep people from driving drunk? The thought in theory in great but the actual execution part of those with a conditional license remains to be seen.
