New York State: We’re Not That Fat!

New obesity analysis has been released and I vote we change our slogan from “The Empire State” to “the not so fat state”.

In a time when we think this country is suffering from an “epidemic” of obesity, New York State can now hold their heads high. According to the Times Union NY falls near the lowest percent of obesity in regards to population. NY actually sits in tied for 42^nd place for fattest percentage of residents. Topping the charts (and scales) is Mississippi. That’s a bummer for that state, because not only are they now the fattest state of the union, but also they're still Mississippi.
