New York Ranks High Among Best States To Be A Cop

Think of what police officers go through day in and day out. It is a job you need undying dedication to do. Where do you think New York ranks among best states to be one?

I have a relative who is a police officer and he loves his job, he always is talking about it. Whether it is the pros or cons, it is his life. At one point in time, I was interested in becoming a police officer myself. That obviously did not come through. The reason I wanted it was to be able to retire really young and then maybe pursue another dream in my forties.

The study from NYUP is comparing numerous factors including median pay and percentage of officer deaths as well to name a few. Overall, this may be shocking. New York is the 2nd best state to be a police officer. Second best in the entire country!!

For comparative purposes, North Dakota is number one and Arkansas is number 50.
