For what seems like forever, Aerosmith have been hard at work on their first new album of original material since 2001. The plan was for the new record to be released this spring. Now, we will have to wait a little longer.

Aerosmith Bassist Tom Hamilton announced that the album has been "pushed back" until September.

That means the not yet titled release will be on the end of the band’s summer Global Warming tour, instead of towards the beginning. The tour will also be at the Times Union Center in Albany June 29th.

Aerosmith – Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Brad Whitford, Tom Hamilton and Joey Kramer – have been working on the sessions with producer Jack Douglas, who also helmed many of the band's '70s classics.
