After a few days of opening round games, the NCAA Tournament tipped off for real Thursday, including four games in the West Region.

Pittsburgh sure didn't look like a tournament team, as the Panthers couldn't get their act together in a loss to Wichita State will find out. Number one seed Gonzaga begins its quest for its first-ever Final Four versus Southern and Arizona will try to avoid the upset bug against Belmont, while New Mexico will begin what many feel is a realistic Final Four push against Harvard.

All start times are approximate. Games will be broadcast on CBS, TBS, TNT and tru TV. All times Eastern.

(9) Wichita State 73, (8) Pittsburgh 55

The basket could’ve been as big as a hula hoop and Pittsburgh still might have had trouble scoring. The Panthers struggled to hit shots all day and Wichita State pulled away in the final five minutes to advance in this game where both teams had problems with offensive efficiency. The Panthers shot a woeful 35% from the field and connected on just one of 17 shots from beyond the arc. Wichita State shot only 39% from the field and was paced by Malcolm Armstead’s 22 points, while Cleanthony Early chipped in with 21 points off the bench. Pittsburgh boasted only one player in double digits – Stevens Adams, with 13.

(16) Southern University vs (1) Gonzaga 4:10 p.m.

(11) Belmont vs (6) Arizona 7:20 p.m.

(14) Harvard vs (3) New Mexico 9:50 p.m.
