A Greene County, NY home was broken in to by a naked man.  However, the home was full of four children who were home alone.  News Channel 13 reports that the children, ages 7-13, were home alone in Cairo, NY when a naked man broke in.  According to News Channel 13, the children acting in a near-perfect way, with the oldest child calling 911, some of the children hiding in a room, and another child exiting through a window to alert neighbors and get help.  The man who broke in?  Well, according to News Channel 13 there is a mental health component so that information has not yet been released as the investigation is still in process, but he was charged with a number of things including felony burglary, criminal trespassing, and of course exposure and endangering a child.

As a Greene County native myself, initially it would be surprising to hear of something like this happening in such a rural, quiet area, but I'm a native of the area and know better.  Crime happens anywhere.  Also, oddly enough, this isn't the first time I've come across something like this personally or near to my home.  Back when I lived in Vermont, also a 'nice quiet' area, we had a string of naked break-ins on the street where I lived.  Luckily, I was never one of the victims, but seriously, one is too many.  Especially when children are involved.
