Fresh off his apparent veggie victory over the Staples Center, which will reportedly go totally meatless for his March 1 show, Morrissey has cancelled tonight's (Feb. 26) scheduled appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.' The reason: The stars of the A&E reality series 'Duck Dynasty' are also slated to appear, and if Moz won't play a giant arena where burgers and wings are on the menu, E! News reports, the vocal vegetarian won't share a studio stage with a family that made its fortune selling supplies to duck hunters.

"Morrissey is thankful for being invited to perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow, Feb. 26," the singer's reps said in a statement posted on true-to-you.net. "However, he cannot morally be on a television program where the cast members of 'Duck Dynasty' will also be guests. Morrissey would be honored to play the show, if 'Duck Dynasty' were removed."

"As far as my reputation is concerned, I can't take the risk of being on a show alongside people who, in effect, amount to animal serial killers," Moz added. "If Jimmy cannot dump 'Duck Dynasty,' then we must step away."

And as anyone familiar with Morrissey or his former band the Smiths knows, he will step away. His Kimmel ultimatum comes midway through a North American tour plagued by postponements, and after scrapping a string of gigs last October to care for his ailing mother, our pompadoured hero has spent the last few weeks battling "a concussion, a bleeding ulcer, and Barrett’s esophagus" -- ailments that have forced him to reschedule additional dates.
