Happy Birthday today (July 30) to blues legend Buddy Guy. He's 82. Also celebrating today is Jethro Tull bassist Jeffrey Hammond (72).

Buddy Guy ranked number 30 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time". He's influenced the likes of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 by Eric Clapton and B.B. King. His autobiography, 'When I Left Home: My Story' was released in 2012. Cheers to Buddy Guy, still rockin at 82!

Jeffrey Hammond was bassist for Jethro Tull from 1971-1975, playing on classic albums Aqualung, Thick As a Brick, A Passion Play, War Child and Minstrel in the Gallery. After leaving the band in 1975, Hammond put down the bass guitar and returned to his first love of painting. He mad an attempt to rejoin the band in the mid 80's but it never happened. He attended Jethro Tull's 35th anniversary reunion party in 1994.
