Linkin Parks new album A Thousand Suns hit the shelves back in September and shot to #1 on the billboard  charts.  Now sales of the album have fallen on the wake of the band beginning their 2011 US Tour.

The new sound that Linkin Park has embraced is a bit different than what LP fans are use too.  They have kind of cooled down with the angry rap rock that made them famous back in the early 2000's. I give them credit because they have evolved with the times and are doing what they want musically rather than what the industry wants.  A Thousand Suns, musically, is some of the bands best writing.  They are getting set to head out on their 2011 US tour now and it seems like the sales of their album have fallen.

The band recognizes that the days of selling 1 million albums is long gone with the increase in digital music sales.  LPs Mike Shinoda sat down with The Pulse Of  Radio and said that the new stuff has been well received in Europe where they just got done touring and says if the fans in the US have a bit more time with the album they will really love the new stuff.  Shinoda said that when they play it live it is some of the bands best stuff.
