Michael Bay Turning ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ Into ‘Teenage Alien Ninja Turtles’?

As a child of the 80's and 90's, and the self-proclaimed 'biggest Ninja Turtle fan ever', I am taking an issue with Michael Bay changing up the origin of the heroes in a half-shell.

Anyone who's anyone knows that the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are called that for a reason.  They were turned into lean green fighting machines thanks to some ooze that transformed them and their sensei Splinter, the rat.  Well throw all of that out the window because Michael Bay has the reigns and is changing it up, and for the worse.

Micheal Bay said in a recent interview that this group of turtles are going to be aliens.  That's right aliens.  Maybe he was just a big fan of the 1991 two-part episode, 'Planet Of The Turtleoids', or maybe he is just a moron.  Why change it up?  If you are going to do something on these beloved characters, then why change what people loved about them in the first place?

If Michael Bay ruins this for me, and destroys my childhood, then he is a marked man.  You have already taken the Transformers, Bay, but you can't have the turtles.  In the video below, Bay talks about his vision of the Ninja Turtles.
