It's a machine, using a machine.

Being a 90's kid, one of my fondest memories is the night I got a Super Nintendo. Man was I cool. I may have spent upward of my entire pre teen years playing Super Mario World. Yeah I beat star road, yeah I beat the super secret second star road, but I was never this good.

In this latest edition of "Why Science, WHY!?" someone has created a learning program, and it's learned to play Super Mario World. Seriously, this is on the verge of being true A.I.. Absolutely nothing was pre 'taught' to it about how to even use the controls. It's more or less a model of how our brains and evolution work.

I know two things after watching this video. 1) NPC's are going to get harder because they're going to learn from watching you. 2) I am better than MarI/O, it's still on stage 1-1.
