Man Killed in Early Morning Accident

At around 3 am this morning there was an fatal accident on the thruway. 

A man who the police believe may be the driver of a truck that ended up blocking the thruway most of the morning, did die at the scene of the accident.

The State Police presume that the man may have pulled over to check on the truck when the truck stated to roll running over the man in the process. Eventually the truck did come to a stop while blocking two lanes of the highway.

The State police did shut down that part of the thruway for a few hours while they conducted their investigation.

The name of the driver will not be released till his family has been informed of his death.
