Last night Lil Jon (along with Meatloaf) got fired from Celebrity Apprentice. But unlike all the other contenders in the game, Lil Jon had one other thing he was trying to do on the show besides raise money for his charity The United Methodist Children's Home of North Georgia Conference. Lil Jon’s other motivation to being on the show was to try and break a stereotype of rappers. I only started watching recently, so I don’t know if said that from the beginning, but it was very interesting to hear. Really it’s a genius idea to use that platform. He said he was there to raise money and prove that not all rappers are ‘blunt smoking ignorant people’. And from what I saw of the show, he impressed me and will hopefully make me think twice next time before I make an opinion. If that was one of his goals, then he gets an A+. I don’t know the music of one rapper to the next, but if someone tells me that we’re listening to Lil Jon, I will make sure to listen carefully and give it more of a fair shake than usual. As I’ve said in the past, it’s easier to like someone’s music, if you like them as a person. Although it wouldn’t hurt if he took off the sunglasses once a while, I guess that's part of the whole thing, he wants you to like him for who he is, and not what he looks or dresses like, sunglasses included.
