The Bon Jovi front man is fed up with music store closing and is pointing the finger at the Apple CEO.

Bon Jovi has been around for a long time and continues to gain fans and please their current ones.  Needless to say, Jon Bon Jovi has been around to see records go away for cassette tapes and those turn into CD's.  The recent turn from CD's to digital downloads does not have the rocker happy though.

He recently sat down with the London's Sunday Times and basically said that the music industry is quickly dying.  So who is to blame for this?  Jon is pointing the finger at Apple big man Steve Jobs.

Steve Jobs is personally responsible for killing the music business. I hate to sound like an old man now, but I am, and you mark my words, in a generation from now people are going to say: What happened?

He claims that in this day and age of digital downloads kids are missing out on the opportunity to run down to the music tour find their favorite bands record, throwing on some head phones and just getting lost in the music.  Another thing that you aren't getting by downloading music is all the album art work.  I know that for me personally I use to love flipping through a jacket of an album to see the pictures or art that the band had thrown in.  It's all part of the experience and unfortunately most people are missing out on that.

The internet in general is killing music.  I remember rushing to MTV for a world premiere of a music video, and running to catch it on TRL after school.  Now however, you can just look it up on youtube whenever you want.  The anticipation and surprise is gone.  Now you can go on itunes and get a single song off an album instead of enjoying the whole thing.  The best part of an album are the songs that aren't released.  I still love getting CD's.  I would be lying if I said I didn't use itunes, but usually for my favorite bands I still like getting that new CD in my hands, wrestling with the plastic wrapping and popping it into the CD player and  listening the whole way through. Kids these days just don't know what they are missing.
