The move comes with lots of road closures and parking restrictions in Albany for the week so be prepared.

As I am sure you are aware by now actor/writer/producer/director James Franco has been spotted throughout the Capital Region for the last couple of weeks as production continues for a new indie film called "The Pretenders".

After casting and scouting locations a couple of weeks back shooting for the film began last week in Troy and continues through the rest of this week in Albany. CBS 6 is reporting that starting this afternoon (Monday, November 7th) and going through Friday (November, 11th) there will be a good amount of street closures and parking restrictions. So if you you live, work, or plan on having to navigate through the Capital City this week you might want to click HERE to help you formulate a game plan!

Not too much is currently known about the movie that is being shot here in our towns except that I heard it is supposed to be set in the 70's and 80's, there is a possibility of some adult subject matter (it was in the casting call), and that it looks like James is directing this time around. Well, I guess there is still a possibility of him starring in it I just have no confirmation on that at this point. Either way, it's certainly peaked my interest.

I think I may just have to wander aimlessly around downtown Albany and see if a can get and elbow, a toe, or even my silly mug in a shot!  I'll keep ya posted!
