America today is Doughnut Day! I like doughnuts because they are magical little blobs of sweet doughy love, when there is cream, sprinkles or frosting, that is extra love. Now a story about why I don't work at Dunkin' Donuts.

I have worked at two different D&Ds and I have done many strange things that would probably get you fired, surprisingly I was, I quit.

My favorite D&D story is about the time I made a co-worker very angry, but I was angry to begin with and it is all Boston's fault.

One Day while working at the D&D that used to be inside the gas station on the corner of New Loudon Rd and Sparrowbush, I questioned the legitimacy of the Boston cream doughnut.

I wanted to know what the Boston cream doughnut had to do with Boston.

So I began asking customers, but I did not get any answers, just giggles, chuckles, and confused foreigners.

Eventually I got tired of asking people so I made a sign that read "What does the Boston Cream Doughnut have to do with Boston?"

I taped the sign next to the Boston cream doughnuts, a customer finally noticed, we discussed the enigma briefly and then he was on his way.

Then one of my co-workers showed up, she was not amused, she took my sign down and threw it in the garbage and told me I was stupid.

I did not like that.

So I waited until I was done for the day at my super important job, I got in my car and went to the drive-thru.

"Welcome to Dunkin' Donuts on the run, one moment." She said.

I waited patiently.

Her voice soon returned through the speaker. "Sorry about the wait, how can I help you today?"

"Yes" I said "Can you please tell me what the Boston cream doughnut has to do with Boston?"

She did not answer.

I sat in the drive-thru for ten minutes, I then realized that she was ignoring me and I thought that was rude, so I pulled up to the window.

The grumpy girl came to the window and in a dry, boring, self-entitled tone she said "If you want to keep your job here, I suggest you go away."

Before I could dispute my right to ask a simple, fun question, she closed the window and walked away.

I quit that job 2 weeks later.

Thank you America.
