How Common Is Your Birthday? [Graph Chart]

Ever meet someone with the same birthday as you? Chances are you have in your lifetime. It's not as uncommon as you might think as some birth-dates are more common than others.

Matt Stiles, data journalist for NPR, created the "heat chart" below to gauge of common birthdays are in any given month.

September and July birthdays are the most common shared of all while January birthdays have more of their own special day. September 16th was the most shared birthday while February 29th is the least (go, figure as it only comes once every four years). December 25th and January 1st were the next in the line up of least common birthdays.

The darker shades below are the most common while the lighter shades are not.
