Hey I'll take any excuse to throw back a couple cold ones but I feel that this should probably be a legit full blown holiday. It really has so much potential.

So there is a website that exists that will tell you how you can #CelebrateEveryDay because quite literally every day is some sort of National Something Day and as it turns out today, April 7th, is National Beer Day! That's my kind of day! The website called nationaldaycalendar.com is surprisingly informative. It gives you a little bit of history on each day. Like did you know that;

On April 7, 1933, President Franklin Roosevelt took the first step toward ending Prohibition and signed a law that allowed people to brew and sell beer, in the United States, as long as it remained below 4.0% alcohol by volume (ABV)

4.0% ... Man the struggle was all to real back in the day. Things have sure progressed in the beer world since then. Thank goodness.

I think though, that my favorite part of this website is the section where it tells you how to celebrate. At some point in the future I would like to see this section read something like "Participate in your local Beer Olympics or Beer Fest" or something exciting and event like but alas at this point in time the section reads:

Grab a beer and spend some time with friends.

Duh! You know in case you weren't sure. Then they follow it up with the drink responsibly spiel and a pre-made hashtag for social media! #NationalBeerDay

Let's do this holiday right?! Get out tonight and celebrate accordingly!
