When National Beer Day falls on a Saturday it gives you ample opportunity to partake in the celebration!

Happy National Beer Day Capital Region! If you are a beer connoisseur then I'm sure you don't really need an excuse to enjoy some malted barley and hops however April 7th is a pretty historic day in American History. Via Wikipedia National Beer Day is significant because April 7th

Marks the day that the Cullen–Harrison Act was enacted after having been signed into law by President Franklin D. Roosevelt on March 22, 1933. This led to the Eighteenth Amendment being repealed on December 5, 1933, with ratification of the Twenty-first Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

Essentially without this act we would still be living in a state of prohibition and couldn't legally buy the third most popular drink in the world (coming in only after water and tea). So I  think it is appropriate today to homage to Pat Harrison and Thomas Cullen for their efforts to bring America such joy again. To quote President Roosevelt,

I think this would be a good time for a beer.

Today, I have been celebrating by enjoying a delicious craft beverage on my enclosed porch while catching up on some work and rocking some tunes. Mostly because the sunshine is deceiving and it's to cold to actually sit outside and enjoy it.

How have you been celebrating today?
