It's been quite the week, and I'm so glad to be back to blogging for you!  Your Rock Girl is officially hitched, to a rock drummer nonetheless, and so excited to celebrate at a Circa Survive concert tonight in NYC (review to come).

Of course Friday the 13th was the day I got hitched, but I have to say the highlight of it all was a visit to our reception dinner at The Beetle House in NYC by a (PHENOMENAL) Edward Scissorhands.  There's nothing like taking a bite of your celebratory meal while Edward lurks around your table and attempts to cut your sister's hair.  All while the soundtracks of Tim Burton movies play over the sound system.

My second favorite thing about NYC is all of the street and subway musicians.  I couldn't turn a corner or stand on a subway platform without hearing incredible music.  It's like listening to the heartbeat of the city, always there in the background beating rhythmically.

After witnessing a random proposal in Central Park, walking endless miles, eating a ridiculous amount of food, and celebrating way too much (or not enough...) we took a moment today to see a new horror flick 'The Bye Bye Man.'  I'm not one to generally do movie reviews, and I try to stick to the music because that's what I know, but I have to say the best part of the whole film experience was the reclining chairs in the theater.  Plus, when I did get spooked and jump during the film, I had a comfy chair to land on.

I've got an hour and a half until doors open for Circa Survive, and I'm counting down every minute!! Can't wait to cover the show for you! Plus- check out some fun photos from the weekend below:
