Halloween Playlist – BJ’s Picks

Iced Earth has been one of my favorite metal bands for a long time, and in 2001 they released an album chock full of Halloween metal songs. One of the best on it is the one inspired by the dark prince himself, "Dracula". Metal and Halloween go hand in hand, and this song is totally spooky.

The theme song from one of the best movies from the 80's. It's a Halloween essential and a must for any party playlist. It's a lot of fun to go through and see all the irrelevant celebrities doing cameos in the video.

Avenged Sevenfold should just play every Halloween party that they can because they just give off a horror show vibe. The riff in this song is so awesome and scary, a for sure Halloween pick.

I know what your thinking, why not the Misfits original version? I have always been a fan of AFI and I just happen to like this version better, plain and simple. How could I not include a song called Halloween?

What an incredibly creepy vibe I get from this classic Alice Cooper tune. No one can have a nightmare like Cooper, and this song is a staple for Halloween parties.

I never really know what Zombie is actually singing about, but from the best of my knowledge this one is about a zombie girl. I could be wrong, but still one of the most perfect Halloween songs.

One of the weirdest and most beloved Halloween movies/shows brings us one of the best songs ever. The "Time Warp" is a song that everyone loves. Now jump the left and do those pelvic thrusts already!

It's seriously the most evil song of all time. The devils note or diminished fifth is played through out it. People literally use to think that note would summon Satan himself and these guys wrote an entire song using it. It creeps me out every time and I love it.

I don't care who you are, you love "Thriller". What's even better than the song is the nearly 15 minute long music video to go along with it. It use to scare the crap out of me when I was a kid. Forever a Halloween staple.

'A Nightmare Before Christmas' is probably one of the creepiest kid movies ever. How can you make it even creepier? Get Marilyn Manson to cover the signature tune from it! Nobody creeps it up quite like Manson.
