While everyone is entitled to their opinion, a lot of people are not receiving what Mitt Romney really thinks very well. Monday (9/17) MotherJones released a secretly recorded video at a fundraiser attended by millionaires in which Romney said some pretty awful things about low income Americans. Today the full video was released, in two parts, and there were some even more shocking things said.

The quote from the first glimpse of this video revealed Romney saying this:

“There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the President no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax …

“My job is not to worry about those people. I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.”

Ouch. Harsh. For what it's worth, those people not paying taxes, contrary to public belief, are not just people on welfare. As a matter of fact MOST of the people he refers to are disabled, elderly, students, wounded veterans, single parents - and yes, even millionaires who have figured out was to avoid paying taxes.

Part 2

Wherever you are on the political spectrum, you most likely can agree that a man running for president should never be saying such awful things. He said many other things, but these are the most shocking parts. What are your thoughts?
