Frontier Town Campground Officially Opening This Weekend

Frontier Town has been a work in progress.  Just last year, we posted about ground being broken for Frontier Town.  Now?  It's officially opening for the season and camping this weekend.

According to the official Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) site, Frontier Town will be officially open June 28th through Columbus Day.  Located in the Adirondack Park, camping starts at about $25 per night.  Now Frontier Town is technically named 'Frontier Town Campground, Equestrian and Day Use Area' so obviously there is more to do than just camp.

There are 91 campsites total.  Included are equestrian (horse) campsites, RC/Trailer camping, and tent camping.  There's a playground and even hibachi style grills according to the site located in the camping area.  Oh, and there's the 'Day Use Area' that's now complete too.  You can check out the fact sheet and rundown on Frontier Town here.
