As a huge fan of rock and roll, occult themes (clearly, if you think Ozzy and Bowie), and the paranormal, I couldn't resist when I saw an "I love New York" publication from Haunted History Trail of NYS about all of the ghost tours and haunted locations in our state.  Most specifically, after grabbing the magazine and flipping open the pages, my eyes focused on the Capital and Saratoga regions.  Along with ghost tours offered in Troy and Albany, I found a couple fascinating locations (and have added them to my bucket list).  Here's the top three!

    Glen Sanders Mansion

Located in Scotia, NY, apparently this mansion was built in the mid 1600's as a trading port, and wasn't transformed in to an Inn until the 1960's.  The location now hosts weddings and events, as well as functioning as an Inn, but is also thought to have paranormal activity.

    Batcheller Mansion Inn

Located in Saratoga Springs, NY, this majestic hotel has been investigated by the Albany Paranormal Research Society, according to the guide.  With a history dating back to the 1800s, this location hosts events, as well as paranormal investigations (by specific reservation).

    The Knox Mansion

Located a drive up I-90 in Johnstown, NY ,this mansion dates back to the late 1800s, and guests have experienced different types of paranormal activities according to the Haunted History Trail Guide, including voices, flickering electricity, and more.  Haunted tours and paranormal investigations are available to be done at the mansion.  Seems pretty interesting!
