Taylor Swift has taken a ton of heat over the years by people claiming that she can't sing and cannot perform live.

Sunday night at the MTV Video Music Awards, Swift performed her new pop song "Shake It Off."

At this point, it's pretty much expected that everyone that performs at an awards show is lip synching, or at least singing to a backing track, right?

Someone managed to record Swift's mic, then synch it up with her performance so everyone could hear what she actually sounded like.

Honestly, it's not nearly as bad as we were expecting. It actually sounds pretty OK to us.
