Foxy Shazam Conceive Divine Music Video for ‘Holy Touch’

Although the sighting of a music video on MTV has drifted into the realm of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster or a Courtney Love news story that has to do with her music, that doesn’t mean the art form of songs put to film has been entirely lost. Thanks to the eccentric musicians from Foxy Shazam, the rock world has a video for ‘Holy Touch,’ which consists of bizarre characters, hard liquor and parachute-less sky diving.

With the feel of ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ in a small plane instead of a pink Cadillac, Foxy Shazam’s video for ‘Holy Touch’ gives fans a taste of uncomfortable ridiculousness inter-spliced with footage of the band performing their single. ‘Holy Touch’ is a solid track, as we wrote in a recent review of the song, but the video brings a new dimension to the radio single, which flaunts the freakish nature of Foxy Shazam brilliantly.

‘Holy Touch’ and the rest of Foxy Shazam’s ‘Church of Rock and Roll’ album was produced by Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins. We recently spoke with Hawkins about working with Foxy Shazam in an exclusive video interview. Hawkins and Foxy Shazam vocalist Eric Sean Nally became “best friends” while teaming up to write some songs for Meat Loaf, which led to Hawkins working with Foxy on their fourth studio album. “It was one of the most rewarding musical experiences of my life so far,” says Hawkins. “My ideal scenario would be doing [the] Darkness and Foxy for the rest of my life.”
