Less than a week after being replaced by Todd La Torre, longtime Queensryche singer Geoff Tate has signed a worldwide record deal with InsideOut Music. Even before parting ways with Queensryche, Tate had a summer acoustic solo tour planned as he continued to work on a solo effort.

“I’m very excited to join forces with InsideOut Music,” says Tate of his multi-album deal. “They are very committed to progressive music and care deeply for their artists, working together with them to bring music lovers worldwide some of the most compelling rock music available.”

InsideOut Music founder Thomas Waber is excited to add the legendary singer to their roster. “Obviously, we at the label have been fans of Geoff for a long time. We are looking forward to working with such a renowned musician – welcome to the InsideOut Music family!”

InsideOut has many progressive artists on its roster, including Fates Warning, Dream Theater’s James LaBrie, Pain of Salvation and Devin Townsend.

Tate is finishing up his still untitled album, with a release date planned for this fall. He’s also scheduled to play on the annual ShipRocked cruise that begins Nov. 27.
