Days after courting middle America with their cutesy Super Bowl ad, the Flaming Lips have gone back to their weird, over-the-top ways. The band has announced a collaboration with a Dallas-based chocolate maker known as Dude, Sweet Chocolate to produce a run of limited edition, anatomically correct chocolate hearts, each of which contains a USB drive loaded with a 15-song mix titled 'Songs of Love.'

"This edible piece of art created by Dude, Sweet Chocolate in Dallas, TX consists of 72% South American dark chocolate studded with hazelnut mini whoppers and waffle cone crunch," reads a listing for the heart, which was produced in a limited run that was briefly available for $60 a pop but has since sold out. "Each box includes signatures from Wayne Coyne and Steven Drozd of the Flaming Lips."

A lovely Instagram photo of Coyne taking a bite of a bloody chocolate heart has popped up for your viewing pleasure here. Meanwhile, the Lips are gearing up for the release of their next proper full-length studio album, 'The Terror,' which is due out April 2. Check back for more info on the disc as it become available.
