Now we have a whole lot of community colleges in the area, it just so happens each of them made the list among the best in the state.

Now we didn't nab the number one slot which went to Stella and Charles Guttman Community College in New York City. We did however grab the second, eleventh, fourteenth, seventeenth and twenty sixth best in the state. Beyond that some of them even nationwide seem fairly well regarded according to the list the Times Union posted.

You may sit here and say, well some of these aren't in the Capital Region. I will argue that with this fact. Each is a mere hour drive or less away from Albany. Enough conversation on the matter, here is the list and where they rank nationwide as well.

  • Columbia-Greene Community College: This is the second best in the state and the 27th best nationwide.
  • Hudson Vallley Community College: Ranked the eleventh best in New York and the 125th best around the country.
  • Fulton-Montgomery Community College: Pulled in the spot of fourteenth best statewide and number 140 in the United States.
  • Adirondack Community College: Seventeenth best in the Empire State and 211th in America.
  • Schenectady County Community College: Rounding out the bottom of the list in at number 26 throughout New York and 313th throughout the nation.
