Five Capital Region High Schools Rank Among The Top Schools In America

If you have got kids about to start High School you may one to look into sending them to one of these five schools that came in as one of America's top schools.

Each year the good people over at Newsweek compile a list of America's Top High School's. Out of what a quick google search says is roughly 37,000 schools in the country only 500 schools make the list. This year the Times Union has discovered that five high schools right here in the Capital Region have made the list!

1. Shenendehowa High School (No. 246)
2. Niskayuna High School (No. 270)
3. Shaker High School (No. 328)
4. Saratoga Springs High School (No. 363)
5. Ballston Spa High School (No. 379)

Props to the Capital Region for keeping their education game on point! I guess they also release a list of schools that are the most efficient at prepping students for college. Specifically those that are "overcoming the obstacles posed by students at an economic disadvantage" and a couple of our schools that made the original awesome school list made that one as well!
